The Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) required a stylishly designed website that displayed a high level of community involvement. Using the WebInterprise Content Management System, ESTA staff now have the ability to update their website with the latest information regarding the 000 process.
Awareness of ESTA and the 000 emergency call process is critical to saving lives. This project at www.esta.vic.gov.au, required a website design and content that was accessible to the widest possible audiences.
The ESTA website provides information for multicultural communities, the general public, and special information tailored for children. The project met the general and specific government requirements in such areas as:
• Demonstrated ability to consult effectively with stakeholders to determine and finalise requirements
• Experienced in the provision of best practice to web design and development
• Demonstrated ability in applying web standards (for example, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, Victorian Government standards)
• Capacity to meet project targets and timelines
